Their Love Story
Rachel and Eric met at a mutual friend's house when they were just 17 years old. They caught each other's eye and continued to hang out. They dated for 5 years before then they were engaged!
She Said Yes!
Eric proposed on a hiking trip in Colorado. The couple went to Colorado Springs for a hiking trip with his family in August 2018. Rachel went on a hike with Eric and his mom because his dad and his brother had to go "out." Little did Rachel know, they were actually going to pick up her parents and her brother. Eric planned for them to travel so they could be there for the proposal! Eric's dad, brother, Rachel's parents and brother hiked up a trail ahead of Rachel, Eric, and his mom.
At a beautiful spot of the trail, Eric got down on one knee and asked for forever! Their families came out of hiding, and Rachel was shocked to see her family there. It was the first time their families had ever met, and it was amazing. The families had a great weekend together while they celebrated Rachel and Eric. Rachel always told Eric that when he proposed, she didn't want large crowd of friends and family around. Rachel only wanted their families to be there, and Eric made it happen in such an epic way! The couple then chose to get married in Colorado the following fall.
The Special Day
Family, friends, and fun was their motto. The couple wanted an intimate, relaxed, and fun time with the people who meant the most to them, in their favorite place, the mountains. Rachel and Eric rented two homes on Copper Mountain, where all 33 guests stayed for 3-4 days of the wedding weekend. Everyone hiked, went on a boat ride, and danced through the weekend. It was incredibly memorable and exactly what Rachel and Eric dreamed of.
