Love Story
Although Maura and Haris dated for eight years before they were married, Maura knew right from the start Haris was the one! The couple met at Mizzou and dated long distance when Haris lived in New Orleans and Maura lived in Chicago. They both came back to their hometown of STL and got a house together.
Proposal
Maura and Haris got engaged at Cedar Creek Cellars. Maura was mad at Haris because she thought he hadn’t asked her dad yet. So, Maura got her nails done the day before and just got clear polish because she didn't think Haris was going to propose! But, of course, she was happy because it had been seven years of dating!
Wedding
Maura and Haris’s wedding was beautiful. During the wedding day, Maura was most looking forward to saying their own vows to each other. It was perfect and incredibly special! Everyone said their ceremony was one of the most unique and special ceremonies they had been to.
Maura really liked doing a first look with both her dad and older brothers. It was so special and sweet!
Maura said, “my favorite part of our wedding was incorporating our cultures. Haris is Bosnian so we had our ceremony spoken in English and Bosnian and had Bosnian dancing that was the most fun part of the night for sure!”
