Yet another gorgeous Real Mia Grace Bride! The photos we received from Sierra and Derek’s wedding are absolutely breathtaking. We are obsessed with the moments captured on this very special day and we are so excited that we get to share their love story that started when they were in 7th grade!
“The Mia Grace experience was one of my best bridal shop experiences and I didn’t feel pressured or rushed to make a decision. The staff at Mia Grace was very professional and wager to assist.” – Sierra
Their Love Story
When Derek and Sierra first met, they were entering middle school. They never officially dated at this age because they were around 12 or 13 years of age. However, they both had a crush on each other, but they were really too young to act upon it. When Derek first arrived at Hazelwood Junior High for 7th grade, he was transferring from a different school district. Sierra said, “Derek was probably one of the first people that opened up his heart to me and accepted me for who I was, even as a very confident little girl”. Meanwhile, Derek was attracted to her “bright smile and warm personality.” They both were highly attracted to one another and held a close friendship throughout their middle school years.
Once they reached high school, they went our separate ways and attended different high schools. They remained connected throughout their high school years and they even made an effort to attend each other’s homecoming and prom. After high school, their relationship really blossomed, and they made a commitment to make their relationship official. Out of this committed relationship blossomed two amazing boys, DJ and Dayton. Derek has FINALLY made the decision to join this union in matrimony by proposing at Hazelwood Junior High where it all began. They are truly tying the knot, middle school sweethearts!
