Love Story
Shelby and Spencer met in high school. The couple remained in the friend zone for a long time before they became a couple. Shortly after they started dating in 2012, Shelby knew that Spencer was special and he has been her best friend ever since.
"I put the dress on and it was like it was made for me. So comfortable, so easy to move in, so lightweight, and so not me, but in the best way. Come to find out that was the first dress I pulled out when shopping around for dresses but decided against trying it on the first time! Anyway, long story short my consultant was so sweet the entire time, she listened and caught on to what I wanted, even when I didn't know what I wanted. And the store is beautiful. We had such a fun time there, thank you so much!" -Shelby
Proposal
Christmas is Shelby's favorite time of year. Her family was in town and everyone went to Wild Lights at the Zoo for Christmas festivities. While Spencer and Shelby walked through the tunnel of lights, Spencer asked Shelby to marry him! It was the perfect proposal!
Wedding
As they began wedding planning, Shelby and Spencer mentioned the idea of eloping in Hawaii as a joke. However, the idea looked better and better as they looked into it. They decided to go for it and had their wedding on the beautiful garden island of Kauai with just immediate family. It was the best decision they ever made!
Shelby wanted to match the theme of the destination. They decided to keep it light, airy, natural, and tropical with lots of greenery, neutral colors and little pop of the Hawaiian Hibiscus pink. They didn't want to take away from the stunning natural scenery . The day after their wedding, they went up to the Waimea Canyon on the island and took incredible pictures. It was the perfect wedding day.
