Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Jenna and Matt

Congratulations to Jenna and Matt on their gorgeous wedding! These two tied the knot earlier this summer with the most perfect outdoor celebration. We are ecstatic to share their beautiful love story and photos with you.

“To be honest, we spent numerous Saturdays hopping from store to store to find the perfect dress. It wasn't until I went to Mia Grace that I finally found a dress that felt perfect. It was sexy, has the western lace and it gave me the confidence I was looking for. Every time I run into a bride, I make sure to let them know that Mia Grace was by far my best experience. They had a unique selection for those brides that want something different than the typical gown.” - Jenna

Love Story

Jenna and Matt met in high school at a friend’s party. They dated for a few months then parted ways before college. Matt went to John A Logan and Jenna went to Murray State University.

Three years later Jenna started her Masters of Architecture at Carbondale where Matt was finishing up his last 2 years. Living only a block away from each other they rekindled their old fling and started dating on March 6, 2016.

Proposal

Fast forward a few years, in June of 2019, Jenna's family planned an RV trip to Texas to visit numerous cities including Ft. Worth, Austin, New Braunfels, San Antonio and Waco.

While visiting the famous Magnolia Farms in Waco, Matt got down on one knee in front of the Silos. Jenna's entire family was behind the scenes and took numerous photos and videos.

Due to Covid, the two spent the last year booking, planning, and replanning to make sure their special day was the day they had hoped for. And it was just that!!

Wedding

When Jenna and Matt look back on their wedding day it was more about making sweet memories with the people they love the most. Jenna always wanted an outdoor reception, and their town has the nicest park, so it was a no-brainer.

It took a village to transform the park into a wedding reception that week. Growing up in St. Rose you are either a farmer or a carpenter. With the help of both, they built a plywood dancefloor, custom 40ft bar, and the bandstand was an actual hay wagon. The crew started Wednesday and by Friday at midnight the park was ready for some action. Saturday, people came from near and far to celebrate with the happy couple.

The park was a dream come true. People won’t remember the decorations that flew away in the morning storm, but they will remember they had an ice cream cart for dessert, somehow dodged a storm that night and most importantly the beer was cold.

Jenna and Matt had their entire town dancing in the rain to the band and that's all they could have asked for. The night could have lasted forever!
