Kim and Rodney tied the knot in a timeless ceremony this November. Their love for each other and their family and is the center of their relationship. We are ecstatic to share their love story and photos from their wedding with you!
“My daughter and I went for my first appointment, we picked the location because of the name...my granddaughter is named MIA... We had some ideas, but those all went out the window when we saw "the dress" in the store window! Once we tried that dress on, every other dress was compared to it. The simplicity, the pockets, the slit, the cleavage.... We said YES to the dress!!” - Kim
Love Story
Kim and Rodney initially met at a United Way function in 2009. Kim was paying attention to the program. Rodney was paying attention to Kim. Things picked up about a year later when Kim began answering Rodney's calls.
Ten amazing years followed, and they were engaged on Christmas Day, 2020. They have a combined six beautiful children. They've shared high school and college graduations, the professional growth of the children, a wedding, grandchildren, and countless other moments of joy. Kim and Rodney helped with more cross-town and cross-country moves than they can remember.
Kim said, “Our family completes us. We are constantly on the go, with no plan of slowing down. We love sports, music, cars, travel, and finding new adventures. We are excited for the next chapters of our lives.”
Proposal
Kim and Rodney are big card givers, and true to form on Christmas morning 2019 he sat Kim down with two Christmas cards... the first being the usually funny card, the second though had a sentimental message and a request to be his forever. How could she not say anything but YES!!!
Wedding
Kim and Rodney’s wedding style was a simple, classic, and timeless theme with sage green and gold as the colors. Everything came together perfectly. They ended up using old mirrors for trays for deserts since it is hard to find gold trays. It was the best find of the wedding!
