Life is always an adventure for Lindsay and Russell! From a budding friendship to their many travels and ice cream dates, these two tied the knot in a rustic ceremony earlier this year. We are ecstatic to share their sweet love story and wedding photos with you!
“I loved my experience at Mia Grace! My stylist had several dresses ready for me to try on based on my preferences and she listened to my comments as I tried each on. Not only did I find my dress, but my stylist showed me customizations based on my love for glitter and I ended up with the perfect gown!” - Lindsay
Love Story
Lindsay and Russell first met in January 2012 where they had Mineralogy together in college. After class, the two would go bowling at quarter bowling night or go out with friends.
It didn't take long for them to become very close friends as they began spending more and more time together. They went for frequent walks in the park and had dessert outings at Dairy Queen where Russell always gave Lindsay his leftovers. Russell continued to chase Lindsay around for months before she finally gave in to love and asked Russell out in December 2012.
Lindsay moved to Texas after graduating in 2014 while Russell finished his senior year of college. Visits were short and drives were long, but that didn't stop them from seeing each other. Russell graduated from college in 2015 and started his career in Missouri.
As their long-distance relationship extended each year, their adventures and love for one another grew. Instead of just meeting up in Texas or Missouri, they began expanding their love for travel to other states and countries where many weekends started and ended in airports to allow the most time together.
Lindsay and Russell never have a dull moment together. Their adventures are unique, fun, and exciting and are always captured on camera to relive the memories. However, the most important adventure that takes place just about every trip they have together- ice cream dates! This has become their most cherished tradition since first dating in college and hasn't changed over the last nine years!
Proposal & Wedding
Russell FINALLY popped the question on July 18, 2020! It all began with a weekend plan to hike Palo Duro Canyon near Amarillo, TX. Unfortunately, Russell got stuck in Dallas for the night due to a long weather delay in STL. Since it was the middle of summer, a mid-day hike would be blistering hot, so Lindsay and Russell rethought their plans.
The next morning, Lindsay drove up to Lubbock, TX to pick Russell up from the airport and go on a nice brunch date at the Funky Door. They later explored Lubbock for prairie dogs and a nice lake for Russell to take photos. Russell set up his tripod at the edge of the lake and started a timer. He would run to Lindsay so they could get photos together. After a few fun shots, Russell set his timer and began walking toward Lindsay. Right away, she knew something was up. Russell grabbed Lindsay’s hand and made a sweet speech about their adventures together and got down on one knee. Lindsay was in shock and didn't know what to say besides, "You don't have to get down there!" and "YES!" Although their weekend didn't go as planned, it's safe to say that it will always have a place in their hearts!
Lindsay and Russell’s wedding style was country/rustic and laid back. Lindsay looked absolutely stunning in her gown, Analiese, by Morilee!
