Love Story
NaToya and Brandon met via Tinder. It was an accidental swipe that actually went right! They began chatting over the app and through text for a while. However, they immediately figured out they were on two opposite schedules, so it was a bit challenging in the beginning, but Brandon made it work.
Eventually Brandon asked NaToya on a date. Their first date was at Weber Grill and Brandon was extremely nervous. The two talked for hours and NaToya didn’t even realize how late it at gotten! Brandon walked NaToya to her car and gave her the church hug, so she figured it didn’t go well. However, he called later to ensure NaToya made it home and asked when their next date would be. The couple went on a few more dates and made it official October 3, 2016!
Proposal
It was NaToya’s 35th birthday and due to Covid, she had canceled plans to be out of town. The next best thing was to have a small gathering at her home with friends and family. Brandon agreed and decided he would host it as a birthday gift to NaToya. She kept wondering why he was letting her know that some of his friends he had invited weren’t able to come, but she just shrugged it off. When NaToya’s dad arrived, she knew something was up (he was anti leaving the house because of Covid).
All day NaToya had asked Brandon to get a candle for her cake and he refused. She couldn’t understand why. Eventually they gathered together and sang Happy Birthday while NaToya danced. Her back was to Brandon, and he tapped her. Everyone was screaming and she was thinking, ‘What in the world?’ so she turned around. Brandon was on one knee and had a ring in the box!
Wedding
NaToya and Brandon’s wedding was absolutely perfect! One of the most special parts of the day for NaToya was getting ready with her bridesmaids. The laughs they shared kept her calm!
NaToya and Brandon’s favorite detail from the day was their wedding cake. NaToya is a cake decorator and designing her wedding cake was the ultimate priority for her!
