We are so excited to present the entire Spring 2015 Collection of Sophia Tolli's gorgeous, show-stopping bridal gowns Friday, February 20th - Sunday, February 22nd. We had the honor of meeting the designer in person at last fall's bridal market, and found her to be absolutely charming and incredibly helpful in selecting gowns for our boutique. She is not only passionate about the details but is very focused on what the bride is looking for and how she will feel most beautiful. Sophia Tolli was born Sophia Apostolides in Australia. Her seamstress career began in her early teens, surrounded by fabrics, sewing machines and dress patterns. Her aunt, a gifted dressmaker, handmade a majority of Sophia’s wardrobe and would allow Sophia to select her own fabrics, giving her an opportunity to develop a keen eye for styles, colors, and more. During these years, Sophia developed a strong foundation in made-to-measure design by crafting custom prom, bridesmaid’s dresses and bridal gowns. In college she explored alternative methods of dressmaking and challenged traditional sewing techniques. Sophia Tolli collaborated with Mon Cheri to design her own line in 2006 after spending 10 years as head designer at Maggie Sottero. Her designs include strapless ball gowns, A-line dresses, halters and slim skirts. Her gowns are known for their impeccable fit, as well as draped and corset backs. Two of her most recent collections are named after characters from The Hunger Games and Game of Thrones. Her award-winning expertise in fit and construction is reflected in the beautiful gowns she presents each season. Sophia adds, “My collection has two distinct feelings: soft classic romanticism and traditional bridal drama. My signature style will always be gowns with an exceptional fit and cut.”
