The Mia Grace girls can get pretty attached to their brides and once we met Jenny we knew that she was going to be wonderful to work with! Her wedding day is the perfect representation of her personality and the relationship she has with her husband. We are so glad we could be a part of this beautiful event and we are excited that we get to share this love story with the Mia Grace Bridal community!
Their “Meet Cute”
Jenny likes to describe the moment they met as a “meet cute.” It was a typical morning heading into Lawrence Group, the firm Jenny and Adam both work at, when fate stepped in. They both got onto the elevator, Adam pressed 7 and Jenny pressed 9. They both locked eyes and said, “Do you work at Lawrence Group?” After exchanging names at this brief encounter, Jenny thinks they both knew they were interested in each other. Adam later emailed Jenny along with some other KU alumni to share pictures of a current project happening in Lawrence. Jenny responded back, mostly just to continue conversation with the cute guy she met on the elevator a few weeks prior. After a few emails exchanged back and forth, Adam asked Jenny if she’d like to go to lunch with him the following week. Needless to say, the lunch went wonderfully and a casual ice cream date was planned for later that week, along with an impromptu day date at the zoo after their company softball game.
The Proposal
Their proposal happened in Estes Park, Colorado while they were there celebrating one of Jenny’s best friend’s weddings. The morning after the wedding, Jenny and Adam decided to meet 6 of her dearest friends and their husbands at Lilly Lake for a morning hike before their scheduled brunch with everyone else. They hadn’t gotten very far on the trail when they all decided to stop at a beautiful spot on the lake to take some group pictures. Adam had brought all his photography equipment with him, so he set up his tripod and his camera. He started off with a few group shots and eventually began taking individual couple shots. Jenny and Adam were last up to get their picture taken and when Jenny attempted to walk away after their picture was taken, Adam pulled her back in. He started saying how much he loved her and she realized then what was happening. He got down on one knee and Jenny did her happy dance as Adam asked her to marry him. Of course, she said yes!
What a Wonderful Wedding!
On November 12, 2016 Jenny and Adam tied the knot at the Old Cathedral. It was a gorgeous ceremony followed by a beautiful reception at the City Museum in downtown St. Louis. Jenny wore a blush A-line bridal gown from Allure Bridals that features a v-neckline and a breathtaking illusion back. Their wonderful wedding was created with a lot of hard work from these amazing vendors:
Florist: Walter Knoll
Caterer: Russo’s
Photographer: Oldani Photography
Band/DJ: Spectrum Band
Hairstylist and/or Makeup Artist: Heather and Sierra with Beauty by Whitney
Thank you so much Jenny and Adam for allowing all of us at Mia Grace Bridal help you make your wedding a dream come true!
