Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Ellie and John

We are just so in love with all the photographs we received from Ellie and John’s wonderful wedding! Every little detail was perfectly planned and we are so glad that we could be a part of their very special day!

“(Mia Grace) was the first place I looked for my wedding dress and was just planning on looking. I never imagined I would leave buying one, but with your helpful staff I was able to find the perfect dress so quickly! It wasn’t at all what I thought I wanted, but as soon as I put it on I knew it was THE DRESS!” - Ellie

Their Love Story

Ellie and John met their freshman year of college at Millikin University. They actually lived across the hall from each another, but they were just friends then. Their sophomore year is when they actually started dating and the rest is history!

The Proposal

It was a Thursday night in February of 2016 on Lake Decatur. John said he knew had to do it on a day during the week to catch Ellie off guard and it definitely did!

A Dream Come True

On August 5th, Ellie and John celebrated their love for one another with a gorgeous ceremony at the First Baptist Church in Vandalia, Illinois. After the ceremony, they continued the celebration at the Carriage House Event Center in Almamont, Illinois. Their wedding was very much fit for the summer with their colors being bubble gum pink, navy, and gold. Ellie looked so stunning in her Casablanca Bridal gown, which features a modified sweetheart neckline trimmed in delicate rhinestones and a raw edge hemline! The heavy beading throughout the bodice and the beaded dropped waist skirt are absolutely gorgeous together. She completed her bridal look with a beautiful scalloped veil from Bel Aire Bridal, which is also beaded and embroidered with silver stitching to match her dress! Their wonderful wedding was created through the hard work from the following vendors:

Thank you so much Ellie and John for allowing all of us at Mia Grace Bridal help make your wedding a dream come true!
