She was the one who picked out the dress I ended up choosing, which also happened to be the first dress I tried on! We also got my bridesmaids dresses and my mom's dress at Mia Grace. I took on the daunting task of choosing mismatched bridesmaids dress, and Allison listened to what I had in mind and ran with it. She even went out of her way to collect swatches of all the colors and dresses I was looking at! I couldn't have done it without her!” – Rachel
Their Love Story
Rachel and Bryan met during the second week of their freshman year of college. They lived down the hall from each other in the dorm. Bryan promised himself that he would not date anyone during his first year, but this promise was quickly broken. Bryan met Rachel and they started to hangout! Within the first month of school, they had gone on two dates and decided to make it official!
The Proposal
This lovely couple got engaged in August 2016. Bryan is in the Army Reserves and he was away at basic training for 10 weeks that summer. They went that whole summer with only a couple short phone calls but mainly communicated through letters. Rachel and her mom had gone to look at rings while he was gone, so she had a feeling that he knew when he wanted to propose. When he finally returned from training, he suggested that they go out on a fancy date, which Rachel felt was suspicious. They went to a nice dinner and then one of their friends, who also happens to be the husband of one of their good friends and photographer, called to tell Bryan that their car broke down! They drove out to Busch Wildlife and arrived at a setting in the back of the park with bistro lights and candles. Rachel and Bryan walked down the path, and that is where he asked her to marry him! Our photographers were hiding in the bushes, and a group of their friends were nearby waiting for it to happen!
A Dream Come True
On January 6th, Rachel and Bryan celebrated their union at the Silver Oaks Chateau surrounded by their loving friends and family! Rachel looked so amazing in the Afina from the David Tutera for Mon Cheri Bridal Collection. This gorgeous design features an illusion and lace curved bateau neckline as well as an intricate scalloped hemline. Rachel made this fantastic fit and flare gown completely her own by adding sleeves to complete her bridal look! She also paired this dress with a cathedral veil from Morilee, which features a beaded and crystal edge! Rachel’s bridesmaids looked so amazing in a variety of dresses from Bill Levkoff and the Hayley Paige Bridesmaid Collection!
