We are so in love with the images we received from Andrea and Gregory’s very special day! Andrea looked absolutely gorgeous and the pictures they took downtown were absolutely stunning! We are so happy that we get to share their fantastic love story with the Mia Grace Bridal family!
“My Mia Grace experience was absolutely awesome!! I have highly recommended to Mia Grace to future brides! Madison and Vicki were very patient and dedicated to making sure I was 100% happy with my dress! They let me try on more than plenty of dresses and come in multiple times to make sure I found the right dress for me! Madison made sure the dress shopping experience was fun and not too stressful! I was torn between strapless versus off the shoulder look and Madison was able to help me have both! I wore straps for ceremony and removed them for reception.” – Andrea
Their Love Story
Andrea and Gregory met at Truman State University. She was in a sorority and he was on the football team! The football team hosted a party for her sorority at the end of the school year. A mutual friend introduced them at the party and they could not stop talking to one another. Andrea and Greg kept in touch over the summer since she was heading back to St. Louis and Greg was heading back to Kansas City. He eventually took her on a date that Fall when they came back to school and they’ve been together since!
The Proposal
Andrea was in her last year and clinical of physical therapy school! She had just returned from nine-week long clinical in Dallas. She was supposed to go home that weekend to celebrate Easter a week early with her family. Greg was secretly planning to surprise her in St. Louis with the ring. However, she decided to stay in Kansas City to study for the National Physical Therapy Exam that was in about a month. That day Andrea took a four-hour practice test and was mentally exhausted for the rest of the day. Greg kept asking her when she was going to be done and wanted to go to Cooper’s Hawk Winery on the Plaza. She told him that she did not feel like dressing up and just wanted to stay in and order pizza. However, Greg was pretty insistent on going to Cooper’s Hawk. She barely put on makeup and her black jeggings and poncho she just got from trip in Dallas! During dinner Greg ordered a steak, which is unusual for him and his “tight budget.” During dinner, she asked him what they were celebrating. And he tells her, “My new job and your passing your boards. She was debating inside her head if he was going to propose or not. After dinner, Greg wanted to walk over to the Cheesecake Factory to get some cheesecake to finish their “celebration.” As Andrea was turning to go to Cheesecake Factory. Greg grabbed her hand and told Andrea that he needed to show her something. They walked over to the J.C. Nichols Fountain and Greg got on one knee and proposed!
A Dream Come True
On September 30th, Andrea and Greg celebrated their union with a gorgeous ceremony at the Our Lady of Loudes-University City surrounded by their loving friends and family. Following the ceremony, this newlywed couple continued the celebration at the Chase Park Plaza! Andrea looked absolutely beautiful in the Alycia from Kitty Chen Couture! This stunning design features a true sweetheart neckline and a phenomenal crystal pattern covering the entire dress! Andrea added beautiful beaded straps from Sophia Tolli to her bridal gown and she also wore an amazing one layer veil from the Berger Collection for Mon Cheri to complete her bridal look!
