Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Abby and E.C.

We cannot stop obsessing over the love story that Abby and E.C. have created together and the pictures from their very special day are just as magnificent! We are absolutely thrilled that we received photographs from their gorgeous wedding and we are so excited that the Mia Grace Bridal Family gets to see them all as well!

Their Love Story

It all started when E.C messaged Abby on social media. Her blue eyes and infectious smile drew him in. His corny pickup lines sealed the deal. E.C. mustered up the courage to ask Abby out and she agreed. E.C. tried to impress Abby by planning a night of dining and ice skating in Forest Park under the moonlight. E.C. perfected the art of falling down and Abby tried to hide the fact her ice skates were developing the world's largest blister. Both parties knew it was something special so they tried to be good sports. After E.C.'s failed attempt to avoid a collision with a gaggle of small children and almost tearing off Abby's arm, they decided to get off the ice. The rest of the night went without a hitch. They laughed over dinner about how terribly awesome ice skating was. It is still a very fond memory to this day. One date turned into 10 and from there it became a blur of Cardinals and Blues games, walks downtown, trips to the zoo, wonderful road trips, and many more excursions together!

The Proposal

Fast forward 2 1/2 years, E.C.'s job took him and Abby to Charleston, SC. E.C. planned to surprise Abby with an engagement proposal on the day of the eclipse. What better way to ask someone to spend their life with you then at a once in a lifetime astrological event? Or so he thought. E.C. did not factor in the chance of thunderstorms… i.e. clouds. The eclipse was a bust so he scrambled to make reservations at a swanky restaurant downtown called SNOB. After feeding Abby (note this is always a good idea. She can get hangry), E.C. popped the question. After celebrating over champagne, they immediately started calling everyone! They were so excited to get right into planning for the big event. However, they didn't want to wait a year to make it official. After inviting only parents and siblings to the beach for a small ceremony, the wedding was performed on September 22, 2017. It turned out to be the perfect day. In fact, dolphins even crashed the wedding in perfect timing. On September 22nd, 2018, the celebration continued with a big wedding in order for extended family and friends to attend, which happened to be a year later on their one year anniversary!

A Dream Come True

On September 22nd, Abby and E.C. celebrated their very special union at Windgate Farms surrounded by their closest friends and family! Their wedding theme was floral rustic boho-chic and this venue was absolutely perfect! Abby looked so stunning in her wedding gown from the Allure Romance Collection! This romantic ball gown silhouette features simple spaghetti straps paired with a delicate lace bodice! The lovely lace appliques cascade over the layered tulle skirt! Abby also wore a beautiful beaded lace veil from the Giselle Bridals Collection to compliment her whimsical wedding dress! Their wonderful wedding was created through the hard work from the following vendors:

Thank you so much Abby and E.C. for allowing all of us at Mia Grace Bridal help make your wedding day a dream come true!
