Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Lisa and Ryan

One of the best things about working at a bridal shop is seeing everything come together for our brides! We are beyond obsessed with the photographs we received from Lisa and Ryan’s gorgeous wedding day. Every image captured features a wonderful moment and you can just tell this amazing couple had the best time celebrating their new journey together!

"My Mia Grace experience was amazing! I've recommended Mia Grace to every bride I know and have had 4 friends buy their dresses from Mia Grace since I got mine. Madison was so fun and helpful. I'm very indecisive and she made it enjoyable and easy for me to find my perfect dress and veil! I loved the dressing rooms, seating areas for guests, and large mirrors. I've been in several times and every employee I've encountered has been awesome. It's such a welcoming and positive atmosphere! There's such a great selection of dresses in all styles and prices, and I will continue to recommend to all brides!" - Lisa

Their Love Story

11 years ago, Lisa and Ryan met while working at Dairy Queen together! Lisa did not want to be friends with Ryan when they first met because she thought he was mean. Ryan went away to college and came back to work over the summer! Everyone was excited for Ryan to return, but Lisa was not one of them! That all changed over the summer when Lisa realized Ryan was actually a nice guy. They became good friends and they continued to talk over Facebook Messenger while he was away at school. They messaged each other almost every day during the school year, talking about anything and everything that came to mind.

Ryan came back to St. Louis the following summer and they hung out as friends. Lisa really enjoyed their friendship, but Ryan wanted more! Ryan told Lisa he liked her while at a mutual friend’s wedding reception. Lisa agreed to go on a lunch date with him, even though she wasn’t sure she liked Ryan in that way. It didn’t take long for Lisa to realize that Ryan was someone she wanted to spend her life with. Almost eight years later, they got married and they are excited to spend the rest of their lives with each other!

The Proposal

Lisa and Ryan went up to Cleveland for a concert one weekend in October 2016. Lisa suggested they take a day and drive three hours North to Canada and see Niagara Falls because Ryan had never seen them! They took a ride on the Maid of the Mist to get closer look at the Falls. It was an incredibly windy day; the valley was actually sustaining hurricane force winds! Lisa thought something might be up with Ryan but didn’t think he’d be proposing due to the intense wind and soaking mist from the Falls!

They were making their way back to the dock when Ryan asked a wonderful older couple to take their picture. He paused for a moment to take a picture and then he got down on one knee! Lisa immediately started crying and said, “Yes!” The other passengers on the boat cheered. The older couple cried tears of joy with the newly engaged couple and told them how blessed they were to witness that as they’d been married almost 60 years! Once they were docked, they found the Captain and had him pose for a picture as well! They spent the next few hours exploring Canada before driving back to Cleveland. It was such an unforgettable day!

A Dream Come True

On November 10th, Lisa and Ryan celebrated their union at the Majorette surround by their closest friends and family! This lovely couple didn’t strive for a particular theme, but if Lisa were to describe the style it would be fall fairytale! There were artificial pumpkins as decorations as well as party favors for the guest. Lisa wanted to look like a princess on her wedding day and she accomplished that with her bridal gown from the Allure Romance Collection! This stunning design features beautiful illusion sleeves covered in intricate lace that matches the appliques that cascade down the tulle ballgown skirt! The sweetheart neckline and the elegant illusion back are perfect for this romantic dress as well. Lisa also wore a fabulous veil from Giselle Bridals that was trimmed with Alecon lace and scattered crystals. This veil paired with her elegant tiara definitely created that fairytale bridal look Lisa was aiming for! Their wonderful wedding was created through the hard work from the following vendors:

Thank you so much Lisa and Ryan for allowing all of us at Mia Grace Bridal help make your wedding day a dream come true!
