Love always wins! Maddie and Dillon's love story is absolutely beautiful. They didn't let the unexpected get in way of their wedding. We are excited to share their story and pictures with you!
Love Story
Dillon and Maddie met when they were in their high school yearbook class. It was honestly love at first sight! They soon became best friends and did everything together. One year later, Maddie and Dillon fell in love and decided to take their friendship to the next level and they started dating. Dillon and Maddie were, and still are, absolutely inseparable. After high school, the couple continued their love story studying at Missouri State University together. During their senior year in college, Dillon got down on one knee and asked Maddie to spend forever with him!
She Said Yes!
On December 22nd, 2018, Dillon proposed in a sweet little gazebo in the middle of Des Peres Park. He had decorated the gazebo with a Christmas tree, lights, and bows because he knew how much Christmas means to Maddie. Dillon had placed pictures and memories from the past five years along the pathway to the gazebo. When they were inside the gazebo, they both were emotional and crying. He got down on one knee and asked Maddie to be his wife. Of course, Maddie said yes! After the proposal, Dillon surprised Maddie with all of their family waiting for them at a nearby restaurant. It was an incredible day!
Maddie's Perfect Dress
Maddie's dress is by our featured designer this week, Maggie Sottero. Maddie's gorgeous gown is Trinity. This romantic ballgown is breathtaking. The gorgeous embroidered lace sets this gown apart. This gown includes a sweetheart neckline, an illusion V-back, and a stunning hemline and train. Maddie customized the gown by having a seamstress add gorgeous sleeves. This dress was perfect for Maddie and Dillon's romantic wedding!

The Wedding
Maddie and Dillon planned their wedding for March 21st, 2020. Just five days before their wedding, due to the Coronavirus, they had to cancel everything. They were absolutely devastating. However, Dillon and Maddie knew they would make the most of the situation and still get married. They decided to get legally married with only their parents at their side at Des Peres Park. This was the same place Dillon proposed to Maddie. The most important thing at the end of the day was that they had each other, even though things didn't go as planned. Maddie and Dillon are now husband and wife. Love always wins! Maddie and Dillon are thankful that they were able to reschedule their big wedding with family and friends for December 2020. Maddie will get to wear her incredible wedding dress twice!
