"I am only able to make it back to STL a few times a year. I knew I only had one week in December to pick a dress. I actually didn't even plan on going to Mia Grace, but I had already visited 3 other stores that week and didn't find the one. Two days before I was supposed to fly back to California, I walked into the store, and the consultant said a dress came in the previous night that she thinks would be perfect on me, and even better, no one else had ever tried it on yet, so I'd be the first. I loved it the moment I put it on and my hunt was complete!" - Jenny
Love Story
Jenny was born and raised in St. Louis and moved out to the Bay Area for work a few years ago. She wasn't into the dating scene until her girlfriends came out to visit on Halloween. They encouraged Jenny to sign up for a dating app. She ended up signing up for Coffee Meets Bagel, which pairs you with one person a day. They tell you to give it 10 days. Jenny and Billy ended up pairing on the 10th day. They've been together since!
She Said Yes!
Jenny plans events for a living, so she thought she would know the moment Billy planned to propose. The couple was set to go back to St. Louis for a visit during the week of Independence Day. Jenny is a big fan of sparkles, so they were supposed to go watch fireworks downtown with her best friend on the 4th. The rest of the trip was booked to the hour with visits with other family and friends. Jenny was so focused on the idea that Billy was going to propose on the 4th, she didn't think he had anything else planned! They were planning to celebrate with family at the Zoo and Botanical Gardens on July 3rd. It was a typical hot and muggy St. Louis day. After dodging rain showers and other adventures, Jenny and Billy ended up at the Boxwood Garden in front of some of Jenny's favorite flowers- dahlias. Billy pointed out that they hadn't gotten a picture together yet and wanted one with her favorite flowers. Then he got down on one knee and proposed right there! It was the perfect moment. Jenny's mom and best friend were even there as a surprise!
The Wedding
Jenny and Billy's wedding was the perfect day! The day was full of love and laughter. The ceremony and reception took place at the stunning Silver Oaks Chateau. The decor was soft and bright, with jewel tones and pops of fuchsia. Jenny looked gorgeous in her wedding gown, Perdita, from designer Mori Lee. This gown includes intricate beading on embroidered lace appliqués and straps. The delicate beading emphasizes the open back of the gown. The dress has a show-stopping train that includes a scalloped hemline over Chantilly lace.
