Amy and Jeff's Love Story
Amy and Jeff have known each other, nearly all their lives. The pair met in preschool and grew up together as friends in a small town. Amy started dating Jeff right after high school graduation. They both conquered their long distance romance through college and for 6 years following school never halting their relationship because of it. Eventually they both relocated to Chicago together, ending their long distant romance. Amy and Jeff dated for a total of 14 years before getting married!
Jeff's proposal was as beautiful and intimate as his love for Amy. On their 13th anniversary, Jeff asked Amy to share their life together as husband and wife; and... she said yes! It was a beautiful May evening, Jeff grilled steak and made a delicious dinner. He arranged plants and flowers beautifully around their deck to make the night as scenic as possible, which wasn't hard, as him and Amy live off a lake. But Jeff wanted to make the night perfect. Amy and Jeff enjoyed dinner on our deck overlooking the peaceful water. The proposal was a complete surprise!
Amy and Jeff's Perfect Wedding
Amy and Jeff's wedding was gorgeous to say the least. No detail was left upturned in the planning process. The couple wanted more than anything for it to be traditional and elegant. Those words definitely come to mind when looking at their incredible photos.
It was important to them that the ceremony and reception was in both Amy and Jeff's hometown. The reception was held in the new Broadgauge Ballroom, a renovation at a historical building in the town. The renovation was actually completed by Amy's dad and brother's construction team, so the venue was especially meaningful to the newly weds.
We loved helping Amy find the perfect dress for her wedding day. She looked stunning in "Abby" a gorgeous gown by Kitty Chen. This dress is stunning with it's classic lace, an illusion sweetheart neckline with cap sleeves and thoughtfully-placed trim around her beautiful train giving the gown traditional flair. The sheer back, on the other hand, adds the perfect amount modernism for a more elegant or sophisticated twist.

Mia Grace was wonderful! My stylist quickly picked up on the style I was looking for even though I had trouble conveying my taste. She gave me some great options to try on and made the decision difficult for me. There was an excellent selection of unique, beautiful dresses to choose from. She was also very welcoming to me and my family and girlfriends. After going several other places to exhaust all possibilities (:-)), I returned to Mia Grace to purchase my dress and veil. Wonderful experience!
