Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Amy and Jonathan

Congratulations to Amy and Jonathan on their beautiful wedding! After the perfect proposal at a marina on vacation, these two tied the knot in a beautiful ceremony followed by reception at the World’s Fair Pavilion. We can’t wait to share their love story and photos with you!

“I LOVED my experience at Mia Grace Bridal. The staff was so personable, listened to what I wanted, and helped me find my dream dress. There was such a great selection to choose from and I felt confident in my decision! I looked at other bridal boutiques but they didn't compare to Mia Grace. When we decided to look at bridesmaid dresses, we again went back to Mia Grace. We chose beautiful burgundy dresses in a variety of styles. My bridesmaids also told me how positive their experience at Mia Grace was. I can't recommend Mia Grace highly enough!” - Amy

Love Story Amy and Jonathan met in February of 2012. Jonathan was a first-year law student at the University of Missouri, and Amy was working in Columbia, MO at the time. One cold night, Amy went to Harpo's Bar (one of her favorite Columbia spots!) and made eye contact with Jonathan across the room. She went up to him and talked to him about the NBA, STL high schools, and more. They hit it off and he asked for Amy’s number. The two went on a date and made things "official" later that year.

Proposal

In July of 2020, Amy and Jonathan went to St. Simons Island, GA for a getaway. Amy’s parents, aunt and uncle were there as well. St. Simons is a special vacation destination for her family.

One night they went to a marina that is one of their favorite spots. Jonathan asked Amy to take a walk on the dock where he got down on one knee and proposed. There was even a boat at the marina named "She Said Yes." It was meant to be! They celebrated with family and champagne toasts on the beach.

Wedding

When choosing their wedding style, they REALLY wanted the World's Fair Pavilion at Forest Park. St. Louis is both of their hometown and Forest Park is so majestic. Amy and Jonathan’s wedding was romantic, classy, and fun. They chose a band, and their guests danced the night away. The weather couldn't have been prettier! Their wedding colors were burgundy, navy, with lighter greens, whites, and pinks in the bouquets. It was perfect!
