Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Claire and Matt

Congratulations to Claire and Matt on their happily ever after! This gorgeous couple tied the knot in one of the most stunning weddings we have seen. Their love story is one filled with love, connection, and furry friends! We are elated to be able to share their love story and photos with you!

Love Story

Matt and Claire’s story began in July 2021 when they met online (thanks to Hinge!). At the time, Matt had recently returned to St. Louis after living in New York. Claire was immediately drawn to Matt’s profile, particularly his opening line: “must love dogs.” Fortunately for Matt, Claire and her dog Louie came as a package deal.


Their first date took place at One 19 North Tapas Wine Bar in Kirkwood, Missouri. Initially, Matt believed he’d be moving back to New York just 3-4 months after their meeting. However, as time passed, those months turned into a permanent stay in St. Louis, with no plans to return to New York.


Their relationship took a serious turn when both of their apartment leases were up for renewal. Instead of signing new leases separately, they chose to take the next step and find a place to live together.


Proposal

After a year of living together, Matt knew it was time to take the next step. On July 9, 2023, he proposed to Claire at his family’s lake house in Illinois. Claire thought they were heading to the lake with friends for their traditional Fourth of July weekend celebration.


On the evening of the proposal, Claire, Matt, and Matt’s parents went out to dinner nearby. While they were dining, Claire’s parents and friends arrived at the lake house earlier than expected to surprise her. When they returned from dinner, Matt popped the question! Claire was completely surprised—and she said YES!


Wedding

Since Claire and Matt were married in Bellerive Country Club, they wanted to embrace the chic theme. They decided to go with white long stem flowers, a perfect choice for the day. Claire and Matt also wanted their love, and relationship to shine through, so they had a lot of details that really embodied their story. 


Claire looked stunning in her gown found at Mia Grace Bridal! This gown by watters is stunning and timeless, but moreover Claire looked amazing. The over skirt Claire styled with the look suites perfectly all while taking a unique twist of latest bridal trends. Overall Claire looked incredible, and the dress suited her vision perfectly!
