Congratulations to Emily and Patrick on their beautiful wedding! After nine and a half years together, they tied the knot this past August. We are excited to share their sweet love story and gorgeous pictures with you!
“Finding my dress at Mia Grace Bridal was hands down the most wonderful experience I have ever had. Love Story:
Emily and Patrick have known each other since they were toddlers. The two attended the same church growing up, and their moms taught Sunday school together. They didn’t talk much until high school when their friend groups started hanging out together. In 2011, at 16 years old, they started dating, Patrick proposed in 2018, and they were married in 2020!
She Said Yes!
Patrick proposed on Sunday, October 21st, 2018. His sister was married on Saturday, October 20th, the day before. Since Patrick’s whole family was together for his sister's wedding, he thought it would be the perfect time to pop the question! Everyone planned to go to brunch together and they all were in on Patrick’s plan.
After they arrived at brunch, everyone got their drinks and Patrick stood up to make a toast to his sister and new brother-in-law. After his speech, he turned toward Emily and said, "I am looking forward to having another brother, and excited about the new addition to the family. I'd like to see if I can make another addition. Emily, will you marry me?" Emily started crying and she said YES!
Wedding
Emily and Patrick’s wedding style was simple and natural. The couple loves the outdoors, so they incorporated a lot of greenery on the tables, added some small flower arrangements to other tables, had plenty of candles to make it more intimate, and lanterns placed throughout. They decided to keep it more low key since they had to postpone due to Coronavirus. Emily and Patrick said “I Do” on august 8th with their closest friends and family there.
