Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Jessica and Ben

Congratulations to Jessica and Ben on their beautiful August wedding! They planned an incredible military wedding that had a combination of vintage and elegant flair, capturing their personalities perfectly.

Jessica and Ben's Love Story

Jessica and Ben fell in love online during the COVID-19 Pandemic. They tackled the Lock-down together and quickly grew closer through navigating the transition into working remote. As their love grew stronger they decided to find a home together in St. Charles, Missouri.

When Ben decided to pop the question, the couple had planned a vacation in March of 2021 but sadly they had to cancel and reschedule for November, later that year. On the first full day of vacation the couple had spent the majority of the day boating on the ocean. Boating happens to be Ben's very favorite past time. After they had gone through the estuaries, went to out for lunch they then decided to go to Ben's favorite spot to relax for the afternoon.

"The spot is more remote and had the perfect beach for swimming and finding small conch shells," -said Jessica. This is where Ben got down on one knee and asked Jessica to be his wife. This will always be the couples favorite beach spot to anchor at!

Jessica and Ben's Perfect Wedding

With Ben being in the military for nearly two decades, the happy couple was elated to incorporate Ben's roll in the National Armed Forces into their big day. It was a Military wedding, making the ceremony incredibly personal to the couple. As far as Jessica and Ben's friends and family, they were dressed to impress. With the attire being black tie optional the guests were able to blend seamlessly with Ben who wore his blue mess dress uniform, rather than his standard blue dress uniform. The wedding took place in a gorgeous stone walled chapel that gave an antique but elegant ambiance to the wedding day!

We loved helping Jessica find the perfect dress for her wedding day. She looked stunning in her ivory Belleau dress by Martin Thornburg. This dress stuns with classic floral lace, a sweetheart neckline with cap sleeves and thoughtfully-placed trim and with the mermaid silhouette, that contours the body. While the sheer back adds the perfect amount of a modern twist.

Their wonderful wedding was created through the hard work of the following vendors:

The experience with Mia Grace was fantastic. I loved that I was able to try on different styles without ever feeling rushed. The stylist asked the right questions to find the dresses I love while also considering other options. Everything was wonderful, never rushed, never pressured to buy, and very welcoming to my whole group.

Thank you to Jessica and Ben for allowing all of us at Mia Grace Bridal to play a role in your special day. We wish you love and happiness as you begin the next chapter of your life together!
