Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Lindsey and Travis

Cheers to Lindsey and Travis on their beautiful wedding! These two prove there is no distance too far for love. Their beautiful ceremony on the beach is what dreams are made of.

“I was referred to Mia Grace Bridal through a few friends who had gotten their dresses from here. Despite Covid, I was still able to bring my mom, sisters and close friend with to try on dresses. Before my appointment I filled out on online form to help with my dress selection. Upon arrival, the team had set aside some dresses based on what I had liked. They helped me find the dress of my dreams, and a veil to match! I am in awe and still in love with my dress! It helped make my day even more special!” - Lindsey

Love Story:

Travis and Lindsey met about two years before they started dating through a bible study at the church they attended. They had the same group of friends, but didn't start liking each other until one night while waiting in line for a movie premiere. However, Lindsey had decided to move to Australia for grad school when Travis wanted to ask her out. Even though Lindsey left, he reached out and they kept in touch while she was away.

Travis joined the Coast Guard while Lindsey was in school and moved to another city. When Lindsey returned to the states, Travis asked her on their first date. They had both known they loved each other way before they told one another. As time went on, the two started officially dating, got engaged, and six weeks later were married on the beach in San Diego.

Proposal:

The day started with brunch on Coronado Island (where Lindsey and Travis had their second, and several, dates). After brunch, they went for a walk along the beach and that is when Travis asked if Lindsey really wanted to spend the rest of her life with him. She said yes, and was expecting the proposal then, but they kept walking.

A little later, he stopped and got down on one knee to officially ask Lindsey to marry him! Of course, she said YES!! He tried to grab her right hand instead of her left, even though Lindsey stuck out her left hand. With a couple of giggles, he placed the most beautiful ring on Lindsey’s finger! Travis had another surprise up his sleeve. Their friend AJ was there to capture the wonderful moment and do a little engagement photo shoot with them!

Wedding:

Travis and Lindsey’s wedding day was an imperfectly perfect day! Covid made for a smaller celebration than they wanted, but surprised them in other ways with an intimate ceremony followed by a simple dinner at a local restaurant. The only thing that would have made the day better was if their family who couldn't make it could have been there. Unfortunately, a few family members couldn't make it, but technology made it possible for them to join from afar.

The couple could not have asked for a better day; it was sunny and 70 degrees outside with the perfect sunset after the ceremony. They read out 1 Corinthians 13 to each other instead of doing individual vows, which made for a special moment. The ceremony was located on Sunset Cliffs, overlooking the ocean with birds flying past. Lindsey and Travis were surrounded by a few friends and family!
