Real Mia Grace Bride: Wedding of Mariah and Colin

Congratulations to Mariah and Colin on their gorgeous wedding! These high school sweethearts tied the knot in a fun, interactive ceremony. We are ecstatic to share their sweet love story and beautiful wedding photos with you!

“My maid of honor, mother, and mother-in-law went to Mia Grace in hopes of at least finding a style of dress that I liked. I tried on the first two, and while they were pretty, they weren't the ones. I put on the third and I felt myself light up and when my girls saw it for the first time, their reaction told me everything! I kept it on for a good amount of time, but went ahead and tried on a few more. I found myself comparing the one to all the others, so I knew I couldn't leave without ordering the third!” - Mariah

Love Story:

Colin and Mariah first met in the second grade and became high school sweethearts when they were both 16 years old. They have been together ever since!

Proposal:

Colin and Mariah moved into their first home together in 2018 and shortly after started talking about getting married. It was a few days before Christmas, and Mariah was hoping that by Christmas day they would be engaged! Mariah and Colin were comfy at home on a Friday night, just relaxing before all the upcoming craziness of family Christmases. Colin asked Mariah, "What kind of ring do you see yourself wearing someday?" At that point, she thought it probably wasn’t happening that Christmas, and she described what kind of ring she would like.

A few minutes later, Colin left and came back into their living room and got down on one knee! Although they talked about this and planned their wedding forever, Mariah was completely shocked in the moment. The ring Colin picked out for Mariah was better than anything she could have described!

Wedding:

Mariah and Colin were going for a romantic and modern theme with deep red, gold, and light pink as their colors. The ceremony was very lighthearted, fun, and interactive. They asked their guests to also vow to help and support them through their marriage. They did this by yelling "We do!" after the couple said their vows.

Aside from officially becoming married, Colin and Mariah’s favorite part was the unity wine ceremony, where they poured a sweet and a dry wine together to create their own blend. The varied flavors were meant to represent the different chapters of life, some being sweet and happy, and others being bitter and challenging. They each took sips to commemorate their past and futures together.

The reception was just as perfect as the ceremony. They guests enjoyed signature cocktails named after Mariah and Colin’s pets as well as the cigar roller that hand-rolled cigars with their names and wedding date on them.
