Congratulations to Tara and Evan on their beautiful, vintage-inspired wedding! After a perfect proposal on Tara’s favorite holiday, Halloween, these two said “I Do!” in a perfect ceremony. We are ecstatic to share their love story and photo with you!
“We went [dress shopping] during COVID right after Mia Grace re-opened. I brought my mom and Evan's mom, Shawn--they both know me well and what style I was going for! My amazing stylist ended up picking my beautiful Willowby by Watters lace A-line, and helped set me up with a seamstress to attach romantic off-the-shoulder sleeves for a little more coverage for my early Spring wedding.” - Tara
Love Story
Tara and Evan grew up just a few miles apart from each other in St. Louis and went to the same summer camp, skated at the same ice rink, but never met until after Tara moved back to St. Louis after college.
Tara and Evan met bartending at a local country club. Tara was a seasoned pro and was supposed to train Evan. They quickly realized how similarly they grew up and how much they had in common. The rest is history!
Proposal
Tara's favorite holiday has always been Halloween, and she loves all things spooky. On Halloween 2019, while they were dressed as Grant and Ellie from Jurassic Park, Evan snuck out of the house and rang the doorbell pretending to be a trick-or-treater. Tara answered the door to Evan holding the ring!
Wedding
Tara and Evan’s wedding was romantic & vintage-inspired. The venue is beautiful and mid-century. Evan had a custom suit from Suit Supply that was vintage-inspired and effortless, just like Tara’s vintage-inspired lace wedding dress!
The couple had classic cocktails as their signature cocktails: Evans was Sazerac and Tara’s Aviation. They had classic jazz playing during cocktail hour as a nod to their honeymoon in New Orleans.
